This outcome implies that 3 or more goals are to be scored in the match. A total, also called an over/under, is a type of bet where you wager on the combined score of both teams—regardless of who wins the game. This article explains how totals work, how to read total lines, and how sportsbooks price them. The newbies in the world of betting may think that the Total Over/Under betting strategy is very primitive because you only need to guess the number of goals/points/sets, etc. In reality, everything is much more complicated — the total betting can result in lots of losses. In order not to drain the stake, you must follow some specific rules when betting on TO/TU.

Asian total means a type of sports bet on the total number of points, goals or other events that may occur in a sports event. Asian totals differ from European totals due to them offering more flexible betting options. Over the past decades, sports betting has evolved from casual hobby to complex strategic decisions requiring a deep understanding of the betting aspects.

For example, if one team has struggled to score or is scoring a lot, you can place a bet on their team total rather than the overall game total to reduce variance by wagering on one team instead of two. A point spread bet accounts for the perceived gap between two teams, while the over/under reflects a combined score. However, where oddsmakers set the point spread can give bettors insight into the total.

Yes, you can put multiple totals or over/under sides in the same parlay bet. But keep in mind that choosing a couple or several favorites will not yield the same payout as if you were picking sides closer to even (-110) or underdogs. Betting on the total, or over/under (O/U), is a bet on the total scored by both teams. They are largely determined by an algorithm, but will be influenced by which teams are playing, weather conditions, and injury information. For example, if Seattle ruled quarterback Sam Darnold out for Week 1 or if there was a high chance of rain, the total would be impacted. First off is the now-standard bullettime mode, which, unlike a few recent games that have shoehorned the feature in, feels totally at home in Total Overdose’s manic firefights.

One of the most unique and popular types of betting is the Asian total. In this article, we intend to take a closer look at what Asian total is, its inner workings, and analyze the benefits the bettors get from using it. An over/under or total is the line set for the total points scored in a game. The total for 49ers vs. Rams in Week 1 at DraftKings is 48.5, meaning bettors can wager on whether the two teams will combine to score more or fewer than that number. Team totals are one way to take advantage of one team’s form while not having to worry about the opponent.

The world of betting is filled with a variety of bets where you can wager your bets not only on the win, draw or loss of the team. One of the most popular outcomes for betting is considered to be a total bet, although many bettors undeservedly overlook it. In this article, we intend to tell you about the meaning of total bets, analyze a real example and learn the secret tips for successful betting with Total Over/Under. Few betting enthusiasts dare to bet on Total Over 4.5. Even professional gamblers try to avoid bets above TO 3.5, as 5 goals per match is not such a common event in football.

The concept of «Total» bet is best of all explained with real examples. We’ve selected 3 «TO/TU» bets for real events in different sports. You’re not betting on which team wins—just how much total scoring occurs. In the case of correct analysis and selection of matches, the Total Over 1.5 strategy can bring income only in the long run. Based on the practice of professional bettors, you should not expect success in more than 70% of cases. To place a bet on totals, you just need to find the appropriate section in the bookmaker, which is usually highlighted separately due to their great popularity.

For example “Total Over 1.25 goals” or “Asian Total Under 1.75”. It is the game based on the story line of revenge and it is a first person shooter game. If you bet $115 on the over and 45.5 points are scored, you would lose the bet. You can place Over/Under bets at all top sportsbooks. Another great addition is the Rewind feature that means you can literally rewind the action and have another go should you meet an untimely death.

In that case, the bet is calculated not after the end of the half/match, but immediately after a successful upshot. In this case, the bookmaker indicated the numerical parameters of the two Totals that make up the bet.

Total Overdose: A Gunslinger’s Tale in Mexico (Windows)

Total Overdose is a third-person shooter which sits somewhere between Max Payne and Serious Sam II, and has its tongue firmly superglued to its inner cheek. Borrowing heavily from Rodriguez’s gangster-driven plotlines, you play as three different characters, though two of them make little more than cameo appearances. At absolutely no point does Total Overdose take itself even remotely seriously. And unlike GTA, combat is actually half decent thanks mostly to the Max Pbyne-style agility and slo-mo moves. Shoot bad guys in the head while doing cartwheels off the wall. Dive left right, forwards and back while aiming for headshots and stringing multiple killstogether for bonus rewards.

You can see how the developer has tried to remove anything too GM-like as it went along — the variations in cars are way down, the sizes of each city area feel far smaller, no in-car radio stations. So, to soothe my aching conscience, I’m going to avoid any further mention of the evil slamming liquid, and concentrate on a recent showing of the game, now only a few months away from completion. So, we understand what is over/under in betting — let’s move on to the bet examples. Uptodown is a multi-platform app store specialized in Android.

Strange things can happen at the end of a game, and some handicappers prefer to only focus on the first half where they feel that they have a better idea of what’s to come. Betting on a first half total in a basketball game eliminates late-game fouling and free throw shooting. Betting on a first half in a football game eliminates “garbage time” points after a team may have pulled their starters. Betting on a first five inning total in a baseball game eliminates the bullpen and focuses on the starting pitchers. Betting on the first half total often requires a different set of thinking compared to betting the total for the full game.

Another feature that’s remained under lock-and-key until now totalover is the sandbox-y town that you can traverse, if you so choose, in between levels and challenges. Hidden until now due to fears of unfair GTA comparisons (unfair since it’s far more reminiscent of the wide open everything-is-a-grinding-surface arenas of Tony Hawk), it’s another avenue for point-claiming. The flippancy of the game is very much on show here too, with mini-games like a blood bath in which all the pedestrians turn into versions of something similar to the skeletal Manny from Grim Fandango. The heavy use of chickens and exploding pihatas in the game proper also goes some way to boosting the silliness factor.

The potential payout is based on the pricing of any spread bet(s) in the parlay. Aspira Limited and betwasp.com website are not offering betting services. The projections for point spreads and totals are derived from the same algorithm, so where the spread sits is directly tied to the total. If the oddsmakers adjust one due to weather or injury information, the other is likely to be adjusted as well. By contrast, a game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Baltimore Ravens had a total of 38.5, but the Ravens were 2.5-point favorites.

As is the case with spreads, totals are usually not set at an exact number. When there’s a 0.5 involved, it means one side or the other of the total will be correct because you cannot score a half-point in a game. There will be no push bets when wagering on a total with a 0.5 involved. Parlaying is generally not advised because your chances of winning are lowered and sportsbooks do not offer the correct corresponding odds to the true implied probability, but you can parlay over/under bets. With this software, you will always find a value bet or a high-percent surebet in your favorite bookmakers, because the scanner analyzes the lines by more than 200 most popular bookmakers in 40+ sports. In the beginning, I mentioned, that the game borrows a few things from other games. In TO you have adrenalin bar, for slowing down time and more accurate shot, just like Max Payne. But the dev put here something a little but different in that formula – the acrobatic moves. Not only they look cool, but they have a purpose – to gain more points. Between the standard side mission, you have few somewhat original.

For example, an NFL contest had the Houston Texans as 6-point favorites against the Cincinnati Bengals with a total of 42.5 at DraftKings. Oddsmakers believed the Texans were at least a touchdown better than the Bengals, but Cincinnati might not be scoring much given the slightly lower total. Certainly it’s helped by interspersing the free-form action with the self-contained story arc missions, providing much needed expansion from the limiting confines of the city areas.

• The total betting strategy is most commonly used in football, particularly on the number of goals scored.

• The price established on one or other is a function of how competitive or talented each side is — independently and based on the particular matchup.

There’s far less for you to do in the city (no non-mission ‘life’ stuff) — the idea being to distance itself from GTA at every stage.Unfortunately, it doesn’t quite come off that way. Instead you constantly feel as though you’re merely playing a cut-down version of GTA, regardless of the developer’s intention. The feel of the game constantly gives you that urge to go off exploring midmissions, but the limitations in size and variety ultimately make it feel something of a wasted effort.

While oddsmakers will set the total accordingly because they also have this information, it’s important to know the numbers. Totals exist across the board, whether you are engaging in soccer betting or NFL betting. As mentioned earlier, the over/under market is one of the standard markets offered along with point spreads and money lines.

WagerTalk’s Kelly Stewart and Drew Martin help you navigate the finer points of handicapping college basketball totals. Drew breaks down his five key factors for betting college basketball totals. A team total is an over/under bet, but only focused on one team, not both. You are only wagering on how many points one particular team scores in a contest, not the combined total for both.

These rewinds are limited of course, so you have to use them sparingly — but they should prove far more entertaining than constantly slapping the reload key. Total Overdose is set to feature a couple of great features that’ll hopefully ensure the frenetic gameplay remains unabated, but not overly repetitive. So, onto the action — and believe me, there’s plenty of it. Total Overdose simply haemorrhages carnage, action and gratuitous violence, offset by some outrageously eccentric and devastatingly effective special moves called Loco Moves. The silliness extends to your special ‘Loco’ moves, earned through amassing multiple body counts and/or collecting tokens hidden throughout the city. El Mariachi machine-gun guitar cases, whirling ‘tornado’ spins of death, exploderising pifiatas and the truly bizarre Sombrero Of Death are just some of the options to play around with.

Our hero Ramiro is wise cracking and have some good one-liners in his sleeve. The biggest problem with this game is, it doesn’t offer a lot of new things. This is the third time I play it and the thing which make me comeback is the insane, silly action. The price established on one or other is a function of how competitive or talented each side is — independently and based on the particular matchup. Put simply, the bookmakers will assign a certain price that they think accurately reflects what it should cost the bettor to pick either side of the total combined units being wagered on in the game. The closer the price is to “-110” (in American oddsmaking), the closer the number is in terms of competitive balance.

Pro baseball totals are typically around nine runs in a game. Pro basketball totals are usually around 220 points. Pro hockey games usually have a total around six goals. Pro football totals are typically in the upper 40’s. You are placing a wager on whether the total points scored between both teams in the contest will go over or under that number.

It’s the only game that I’ve ever played the demo and gone straight out to buy.Firstly, though, I can’t really recommend it if you’re after a GTA game. The open world bits are probably the worst part of the game. The physics and car handling are a bit janky, and while there is some fun to be had, overall the open city doesn’t do a whole lot for the game.It comes into its own once you’re in a mission, though.

The sportsbook will provide a total number, often with decimal points to avoid ties (e.g., 47.5 points). Bettors then choose whether they think the actual total will be higher (over) or lower (under) than this number. Asian totals, like other types of bets, have a number of their own advantages and disadvantages. Below, we have compiled a list of the most significant «pros» and «cons» for you.

For Over/Under bets, in the event of an extra time, they often add «overtimes included» in the rules. The Total Over 3.5 strategy has no much difference from the previous one, except that odds and number of goals should be higher. The basic requirements for choosing a match are the same, the only thing is that you need to pick up a team that has scored at least three goals in the last three or four matches.

Regardless of the sport, the total is the combined score at the end of a game. In NFL and college football, totals are usually in the 40s and 50s, though some can stretch into the 60s and 70s in matchups between two great offensive teams. College basketball totals typically reside in the 130s and 140s, though these can also be pushed into the 150s and 160s depending on the teams in question. «Total Over» or the «TO» bet here means a bet wagered on the quantitative outcome of a certain event exceeding the selected result. Let’s take the number of goals in a football match and the total bet of «TO 2.5».

When wagering the total bets, one should carefully analyze the statistical indicators of both teams, comparing them with each other. When betting Total Over/Under bets for the entire match, all goals will count, including those scored in the extra time. Also you need to remember that the penalty shootouts are not included in this type of bets. You can wager the total bets not only on the regular time, but also on the extra time. However, you must accurately choose your bet, because basically the bookies set their total rates without taking into account overtimes.

They will adjust based on the bets people are placing (“action”), especially bettors that a bookmaker knows to be “sharper” (well informed). Winning long-term is as much about getting the best price and good value, as it is being on the right side. For example if two people bet on the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl but John bet it one week before the Super Bowl at -130 and Joe waited until Sunday and got K.C.

Moreover, such bets are accepted by all bookmakers. An Over/Under bet is a wager on whether the combined total score of a game will be over or under a specified number set by the bookmaker. This is opposed to horse racing, or “parimutuel” betting, where the odds/prices change up until the gates open. With moneyline betting, the price that you bet gets locked in when you hit “place bet,” and it’s accepted.

Whereas the total 1.25 generated two following possible situations — over 1.0 and over 1.5. However, in this case, the bettor may either fully win, or get a payback for half of the bet and lose the other half. We do not accept bets and are not a betting platform.

So if you bet on the Packers-Lions and took the over at 45 points -110 (bet $110 to win $100) and then later in the week, the line shifts to 43.5 points at -115, your bet is still over 45 points at -110. Total Over 1 bets are made according to the same standards as TO 0.5.The only difference is that the teams need to score 2 or more goals to win the bet. In case of one goal, the bet will be settled using odds of 1.0. The choice between Asian and European totals depends on the preferences and personal experience of the bettor. Asian total provides a lot of flexibility and strategic betting options, making it an attractive choice for those looking to delve deeper into the world of sports betting. For example, in case a bettor wagered a bet on an Asian total over 2.25, then the bet to win, the total number of goals must be 3 or more. But at the same time, the bet is to be calculated as a partial payback in cases when the match ends with 2 goals.

Other not-so-good thing is the sound design, especially the guns. But the soundtrack is amazing, a mix between rap and metal. And speaking of guns, you have decent variety, nothing new there. Most of the time, when I have bullets, I used pistol and rifles, ’cause they were more effective, especially for headshots. The map of the city isn’t very helpful, it show icons where to go. Fortunately there is a menu in the game for quick access to the missions. The best thing in Total Overdose is the gameplay. It may not be entirely original, but is functional and fun.

Historical trends can help in certain situations, like big knockout games or finals. For example, the Champions League final has finished 1-0 in four of the last six years. In the last seven years, one of the two teams in the final has been shut out. Six of the last seven finals have had fewer than 2.5 total goals. While these trends don’t always hold up (see PSG’s 5-0 win over Inter Milan in 2025), they serve as a foundation to make a more educated wager.

As you continue in the game, you’ll be able to have access to more types of weapons and upgrades. The music is rather intense at times and gives you the motivation needed to get through some of the levels. Sound effects are amazing and make you feel like you’re walking along the streets of Los Angeles or a small city in Mexico. The Total Over 0.5 strategy is aimed to find matches in which opponents as a rule play effectively. Most bettors use this strategy for live due to the juicier odds.

Running up walls, sliding down poles, taking out enemies with your car door before leaping from the vehicle for a few more slow-motion kills… This is a really fun game. The controls are obviously console-centric, but they work well enough on a PC. Graphics were never the game’s strong point, with simple models and textures. Cars, people and buildings appear quite abruptly while driving around the open city. The writing is fairly cheesy, and you’ll often be groaning rather than laughing at the jokes. But despite all the possible negatives, the gameplay itself is so joyously over the top and fun that I just couldn’t help but love the game.

Over/Under betting: How to bet totals at sportsbooks in 2026

And it has a lot of suspense and surprising events. The more you play, the more you will get addicted. If the total is a whole number such as 50, and exactly 50 points are scored you bet «pushes». This means your wager is returned since you did not win or lose the bet. If you choose and analyze the matches correctly, you can expect the passability of bets higher than 50%. Given the acceptable odds (1.8-2.0), this strategy can generate income in the long term.

Let’s say the bettor intends to bet that teams will score less than 3 goals. The Asian total 2.75 is one of the methods to make this prediction. If exactly 3 goals are scored, the bet gets a partial payback (TU 3), and the other half of the bet gets lost (TU 2.5). With other outcomes, the bettor gets either a complete win, or a loss. While betting with the Asian total, the bettor is to place bets on the probability of the total number of points/goals getting over or under some specific number.

Will it stick a cactus up the backside of third-person action-adventures? If we can avoid the tequila, we might just be able to provide the answer… You can imagine Total Overdose to be a pihata full of gameplay treats from Grand Theft Auto, Max Payne, Serious Sam and Tony Hawk’s, smashed open by filmmakers Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino. You can bet on the total both in pre-match and live modes. Usually, the bookies accept overtime bets only for the main time of the match, however, in certain cases, you can bet on the entire match, including overtime.
